Start Making Moves Hornets
November 17, 2009

Start making moves Hornets!
Look, their are a lot of bad teams in the NBA….teams that have good players to supply to good teams via trade.  If the Hornets wait until the February trade deadline to wheel-and-deal they may not be able to dump the bad contracts they want.
SO START MAKING MOVES NOW.
Look, I’m a positive, [...]

Fixing The Hornets
November 16, 2009

Okay…I think I’ve found a way to fix the Hornets…keep them competative this year and build for the future.
Inspired by a report from the Sacramento Bee newspaper and from trade someone sent me from www.hornetsreport.com I’ve come up with the following scenarios:
Three trades:
TRADE #1:
Peja Stojakovic & Bobby Brown to the Los Angeles Lakers
Luke Walton, Sasha [...]

Okafor Traded To Kings???
November 15, 2009

The Hornets salary dumping and rebuilding is underway.
Check out this article from the Sacramento Bee newspaper.
———————————————————-
Kings considering Okafor

A source with knowledge of the situation says the Kings are discussing a trade with New Orleans that would send Kenny Thomas to the Hornets and bring center Emeka Okafor to Sacramento.
The deal would be ideal for the [...]

Hornets Future
November 13, 2009

I think the Hornets made the right decision by firing Byron Scott.
The NBA had figured out Scott’s system and he was unwilling to change.
Scott has been replaced by General Manager Jeff Bower.  Bower has never been a head coach at any level.  Bower is also bringing back a familiar face…he’s hired former Hornets head coach [...]

The Hive Is Burning
November 7, 2009

The Hive is buring!!!!
The clock is ticking on Byron Scott and Jeff Bower!
Look, I’m not even going to talk about bad drafts (Cedric Simmons, Hilton Armstrong and Julian Wright)), awful decisions (Letting Brandon Bass and Birdman walk away) and the poor development of young players (JR Smith)….because that’s water under the bridge…..I want to talk [...]

Charles Barkley: Hornets General Manager???
October 25, 2009

If things go sideways for the Hornets this season…would George Shinn even entertain this idea???
courtesy: www.realgm.com
Charles Barkley believes it’s time for him to make the switch from television to the front office of an NBA team.
“It’s time for me to be a general manager,” Barkley told the Boston Globe. “I think everybody around me knows [...]

Hornets Should Sign This Guy If He’s Healthy
October 24, 2009

HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets have waived guard Brent Barry, a move that trims their roster to the required 15 players.
The 6-foot-7 Barry signed as a free agent with the Rockets before last season and averaged 3.7 points and 1.4 assists in 56 games.
Barry, 37, has played 14 seasons in the NBA. He was selected [...]

If A Change Is Made Uptown
October 22, 2009

I know, this is complete speculation…but if Tulane continues to bomb this season their is a chance a coaching change could be made uptown.
So, who would be a good choice to replace Bob Toledo?
Personally, I think the program needs to hire a young up-and-coming coach that is hungry for his first head coaching job and [...]

Hornets Concerns
October 14, 2009

As I write this the Hornets trail the Orlando Magic in a preseason game by 36 points!!!!!
Okay, I know it’s only the preseason but I’m a worry-wort and the Hornets worry me.
They’ve looked terrible this preseason.
Sure, I know Emeka Okafor has not played because of a toe injury but still…this team does not look like [...]
