Another Free Agent For The Hornets?

With 2 open roster spots to fill I’ve been guessing which players the Hornets will bring on board for a playoff push.

I still believe the 2 strongest contenders are P. J. Brown and Chris Andersen.

I’ve also tossed a few other names out there (Brent Barry) and another one to keep an eye on is this guy.

Viktor Khryapa.
Back in 2005 the Hornets worked out Khryapa several times before the draft. He was one of only a handfull of players the team brought in for multiple workouts.

Instead the Hornets ended up taking J.R. Smith in the first round of that draft. Khryapa went to Portland and was then traded to Chicago.
A 6’9 Russian, Khryapa recently requested and was granted his release by the Chicago Bulls and can sign with an team he chooses.

Is he a perfect fit for the Hornets? No.
But he would lend depth and might come really cheap.
