New LSU Coach

Sources tell WDSU sports that Stanford Head coach Trent Johnson is the new men’s basketball coach of the LSU Tigers. An official announcement and press conference will take place Thursday or Friday.
Johnson will become the first ever african american head basketball coach at LSU. Johnson has led the Stanford Cardinal to 3 NCAA tournament appearances including this years sweet 16.We’ll have more details regarding Johnson and the LSU job coming up in newcasts at 5, 6 & 10 pm.

  1. That is great news, about Stanford Head coach Trent Johnson being the new men’s basketball coach of the LSU Tigers! He is a very good coach, & I know that he will lead the LSU’s men’s basketball team to many NCAA tournament appearances.

I don’t believe Johnson is leaving Stanford due to recruiting (this isn’t football where you need a lot of players and he’s seen success), money (people say he would have stayed for life), or a tough rebuilding year next season (comes with the job).
